Get to know the staff, see where the campers will be spending their day, and let us ease your mind that you chose the right Summer Camp for your kid to spend their summer!

Imagine a camp surrounded by 70 acres of woods, 2 lakes, trails and plenty of room to explore! Our camper’s days are jam packed with activities: exploring nature, swimming at our beach or indoor pool, canoeing, playing volleyball, basketball and archery to name a few! There is never a dull moment with so much fun and nature around us.

Our camp is amazing!

Our summer camp is located at the Hamburg Fitness Center and integrates the best of a traditional day camp with the benefits of an indoor gym and pool. We provide the perfect setting for your school-age children ages 6-12. Children must be 6 years of age by June 10, 2024.

Meet Our Directors

Alyssa Pugh

Alyssa has worked at the Hamburg Fitness Center for 3 years, working in child care, at the front desk, and helping with summer camp previous summers. She has also been babysitting/nannying since she was 13 years old and loves showing kids how fun it can be to be active and outdoors. She will be a sophomore at Grand Valley State University this fall and is studying exercise science to eventually become a physical therapist.

Hello Campers and Parents! My name is Joseph. I have worked at the Hamburg Fitness Center & Camp since 2021. This will be my fourth summer working at Sunny Days Camp and second year being Co-Director and Administrator! As the oldest brother of four, I have had a lifelong experience working with kids. I also pride myself on my ability to create fun games & activities for our campers.

As Co-Director & Administrator I will strive to ensure that this year’s camp experience is one your kids will remember and cherish for years to come! I plan to achieve this by making camp more inclusive for all through cultivating a fun & engaging environment with activities appealing to everyone!

Before Care 7:00 am - 9:00 am: $10/child/day

*Parent/Guardian must have an active HFCC membership

Staff & Safety

Our staff all complete a training program, CPR certification and background checks. Our lifeguards are Red Cross and CPR certified. Our counselors are motivated, enthusiastic, patient, energetic and enjoy working with children.

At Hamburg Fitness Center & Camp, we have always prioritized the health and safety of the children in our care. With the spread of COVID-19, new health and safety protocols are essential to ensure children, families, and employees are as safe as possible. All our Hamburg Fitness and camp staff will be following these new safety protocols.
