Gentle Yoga is a great class for beginners to learn poses, sequencing, proper breathing and integration of the body and mind. Students move through a series of poses developed to create harmony and balance. Poses are held to allow the body to settle into each posture and open deep muscles of the hips, shoulders and back. A deeper stretch and increased muscle endurance is achieved. Music enhances the sense of calmness and concentration. Modifications are given, all fitness levels are welcome.
Yoga mats, blocks and straps are provided and used to modify poses, increase stability or challenge flexibility. This class is offered in the Group Exercise Studio. Wear comfortable clothing and bring water for proper hydration.
